whitespace in filename causing upload failure
Hello,
I'm part of a group of graduate students working on developing a born-digital edition and translation of a Old French crusade chronicle that is TEI compliant. One of the goals of our project is to use a platform that is available to anyone in order to inspire other scholars who might not have the means to hire a developer to create a platform but still want to produce an edition. TEI Publisher appears to be a great option for this. We started running test files last spring and we were able to successfully upload and create an ODD last spring that allowed for us to have parallel text boxes, one the left we had our old french line poetry and then our prose translation on the right. We also had hyperlinked words that connected to our wordpress site and hover boxes for our variant apparatus.
None of us have a programming background, we've learned much of what we know from reading, trial and error, and some short tutorials from people with more experience. So I apologize if this question (and potentially others) show my own ignorance or if I'm mis-using this issues platform/hipchat for my questions.
We're currently having problems uploading our .xml file to the TEI Publisher website. We haven't had problems with creating an ODD, just the document we want to display. When I do try to upload the file (signed in as the default user) a green loading line appears at the top, it looks like the page refreshes, but my file does not appear under the documents. The file does have a check mark next to it in the "upload" box but that is it. I've attached the file (a short section of a larger project) I've been attempting to upload here just in case that is helpful. We haven't been able to successfully upload anything since last Spring and the files we did have uploaded were deleted since we were just using the main site as a testing ground. We are having similar problems with uploading items on the application we downloaded.
Has anyone else had problems uploading documents? Is there something specific a file needs to have to be updated? The file I have been trying to upload had been validated in oXygen.
Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated. Of if there's a better place for me to direct this questions, that would be helpful too. We're really excited about TEI Publisher and would love to continue using it if possible.
Thank you, Amanda Racine
